Becker Traffic Assist Z 217 has everything that truckers need from a navigation system.
Individual details of vehicle height, width, length, weight and load are incorporated directly in the route calculations, so that impassable roads, tunnels and bridges, as well as excessively sharp bends can be ruled out. Special points of interest, like filling stations and truckstops, offer the driver an added service.

Extensive map material for 41 countries is included, as well as a large, anti-reflex 4.3” touch screen, detailed 3D map displays and driver support features such as NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns, Lane Info and optimised motorway intersection views. The Becker OneShot voice control system ensures that addresses can be input quickly and easily, while the Bluetooth® function with hands free feature allows the driver to make calls safely and even reads back text messages.

TRUCK-SPECIFIC ROUTE CALCULATION
Special truck attributes calculate a route corresponding to the profile input, taking into consideration relevant data, such as the vehicle dimensions, payload, overall weight etc. Accordingly, the route that should/can be taken is the one displayed. Details such as bridge heights, blocks and truck-specific warning signs are incorporated in the analysis.

BECKER ONESHOT SPEECH DIALOGUE SYSTEM
In addition to entering destinations via the touch screen, the Becker OneShot Speech Dialogue System may also be used. Simply state the destination's address in one sentence and the route calculation begins.

FREE LIFETIME TMC*
Free lifetime TMC is a traffic holdup warning service. The service provides the latest reports on traffic conditions and hold-ups within Germany, thereby optimizing dynamic route calculation.
Free lifetime TMC reports are compiled with current traffic flow data that are automatically recorded with sensors. The data are transmitted to a data centre, where they are analysed and relayed to navigation systems.

3D NAVIGATION DISPLAY
The 3D navigation display has been further optimised. 3D terrain and city views as well as landmarks are displayed in high resolution and high detail. The end result is a more realistic route display and easier orientation.

BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY
The Bluetooth® interface is designed for connecting Bluetooth®-compatible mobile phones. Telephone numbers and addresses can be directly entered via the touch-screen display or selected from a list of contacts.

NAVTEQ TRAFFIC PATTERNS
Accumulated traffic data are included in route calculations, enabling the device to determine optimal routes according to the day of the week and time of day. Frequently jammed roads and junctions are thereby avoided.

PERMANENT ROAD BLOCKING
Blocks road and route sections permanently, on specific weekdays or at specific times of the day. This enables you to permanently block long-term road works or restricted through-roads, for example.

BECKER ECONOMIC ROUTE GUIDANCE
Calculates the most economic route to your destination based on statistical/mathematical methods and many years of experience from the automotive industry. Travel time and fuel consumption are optimally combined, enabling you to save time and fuel and so play an active part in protecting the environment.
